Fender Custom Shop ’60s Heavy Relic Bound Neck Stratocaster
The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition ’60s Heavy Relic Bound Neck Stratocaster captures the look and feel of a heavily played instrument from one of the Stratocaster’s defining eras. Its lightweight alder body features a Heavy Relic finish, giving the guitar the worn-in appearance and tactile character of a vintage instrument that has seen decades of use.
A distinctive birdseye maple neck with parchment binding sets this model apart visually, while the ’65 “C” neck profile, 9.5" radius dark rosewood fingerboard, and large 6100 frets provide a comfortable blend of vintage character and more modern playability. Mother-of-pearl-style dot inlays and a tortoiseshell pickguard complete the period-inspired aesthetic.
Three Custom Shop Hand-Wound Fat ’60s single-coil pickups provide the bright, open, and articulate response associated with classic ’60s Strat tones. A modern 5-way selector and Vintage Modified wiring expand the practical usability while preserving the familiar Stratocaster control layout.
