The house needs a new roof so I need to part with a few pieces. I bought this guitar a few years ago as a makeover/refinish project and it turned out to be a lot of fun. Originally a 2007 classic player 50s strat in 2-tone sunburst, I stripped everything to bare wood and made a lot of vintage-correct adjustments to the neck and body shape. If you're a fan of the soft edges and deep contours of 50s/60s Fender guitars then you'll appreciate the refined neck/headstock transition, neck/heel transition, as well as the deeper carves I put into the belly and arm contours on the body. The body was sprayed in Lake Placid Blue nitro from Oxford Guitar Supply with my own custom mixed amber toner over the top to achieve the greenish hue you see on vintage examples. The guitar was clearcoated with a custom mixed non-plasticized lacquer. The checking is real cold checking (no razorblades!). I also did some moderate aging to complete the vibe. Nut width was also narrowed ever so slightly during the process from 1.65 to 1.63 (half a mm thinner). It's set up with 9s and has a stewmac .25 degree shim in the neck pocket. The neck is a comfortable medium soft V shape. I did not get the original gig bag with this guitar when I bought it so this will ship in an aftermarket gig bag.
