Up for sale is my Gibson Les Paul Standard ‘50s Plain Top in Classic White, a 2024 USA-made guitar from Gibson’s Original Collection. This is the real-deal Standard — solid mahogany body with no weight relief, plain maple top, and that thick, resonant tone the ’50s spec is known for. Best of all, this one is a featherweight at just 8lbs 8oz - an excellent weight for a non-weight-relieved Standard and a real rarity.

Condition:

Excellent. Plays and sounds fantastic, fully functional electronics, frets in great shape with plenty of life. Light play wear only - The only blemish I could find is a small indent near the 11th fret on the bass side. I tried to capture it on the photos and included it. No breaks, cracks, or repairs. Recently set up and playing great.

Includes the original Gibson hardshell case and accessory kit / paperwork - Ships fast and double-boxed with the stings loosened for safe transit.

Modifications:

The only modifications are purely cosmetic - done to warm up the color balance and give it more of an “R9” look and feel. I swapped in a new truss rod cover, pickup mounting rings, poker chip, and pickguard, all from Philadelphia Luthier Tools.

Nothing else has been altered - pickups, wiring, and hardware are all stock and untouched. All original parts are included, so it’s easy to return to fully stock.
