1976 Engelhardt EC-1 upright bass. Made in the the same Chicago factory as those storied Kay basses. Like a Kay this is abig bodied 3/4. Some wear and tear from 50 years of holding down the low end. The "ebonized" finish on the finger board is worn through in places. No open seams, cracks or neck breakage. Currently strung with vintage Supernils and set up for bluegrass/rockabilly/Americana music. Plenty of songs and smiles left in this American classic
