Up for sale is a breathtaking 2022 Fender Custom Shop '61 Stratocaster Heavy Relic in a striking, factory-custom Super Faded Red over 3-Tone Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
Built in Corona, California in March 2022, this instrument combines pure early-60s vintage mojo with high-performance Custom Shop playability. The Super Faded Red top layer ages into a subtle, shell-pink tone, wearing away to reveal the bold 3-Tone Sunburst and rich ash grain beneath.
Tone & Electronics:
Heart of this guitar is a set of factory Hand-Wound Ancho Poblano Stratocaster single-coil pickups. These pickups deliver fat, punchy, calibrated output with glass-like highs and thick low-end chunk.
RWRP Middle Pickup: Provides hum-canceling in switch positions 2 and 4.
Wiring: Modern Stratocaster wiring schema with a 5-way pickup selector switch.
Neck & Feel:
Neck Profile: Comfortable '60 Style Oval "C" plain-grain maple neck with factory finish wear on the back for a smooth, fast feel.
Fretboard: Dark, high-grade AAA Flat-Lam (Slab) Rosewood fretboard.
Specs: 9.5" fretboard radius and 21 Medium Jumbo (6150) frets, making bending smooth and effortless across the entire neck.
Condition & Provenance:
This guitar is in factory Heavy Relic condition. All finish checking, body wear, oxidized hardware, and wood exposure are 100% original from the Fender Custom Shop team. It has been kept in a smoke-free home and handled with care.
