Beautiful 1981 Gibson Les Paul Heritage Standard-80 in excellent condition. An outstanding example of Gibson’s early attempt to recreate the legendary late-’50s Les Paul Standards, featuring the highly desirable original Tim Shaw PAF-style humbuckers.
Fantastic player with a huge, rich, articulate Les Paul tone. The Tim Shaws sound exceptional — warm and open, with great clarity and plenty of bite when pushed.
The guitar is all original, with the only modification being the locking strap buttons currently installed. The original strap buttons are included in the case.
Everything works exactly as it should. The neck is straight, frets are in excellent shape, it stays in tune beautifully, and the pots and selector operate cleanly with no scratching or crackling.
Excellent overall condition for a 46-year-old instrument, with only a few minor cosmetic marks consistent with careful use.
