What’s cooler than a Les Paul Custom? Not much! This is a great example of a 1996 Historic series 57 reissue with an original B7 Bigsby.
The guitar was recently setup with a brand new bone nut installed. It’s set up with a low action (not too low!) for 10-46 strings. The original 57 Classics were missing when I got the guitar, so I had new Gibson Custombuckers installed. These are what the Custom Shop are shipping guitars with today. Great old PAF sounds to be had here. No neck or heel breaks. There are a few dings and dents here and there with some finish checking on the headstock and some finish shrinking around the split diamond inlay and Gibson logo. The clear has yellowed naturally giving the binding a super cool aged look. This is what the Murphy Lab are trying to replicate and charging a fortune for. This is the real deal! Has a PERFECT chunky C neck that’s not too big. The frets have plenty of life left in them and ring like a bell.
Man I’ll hate to see this one go…This guitar is ready to gig tonight!
