Alesis LRC Wired Remote Control Type II

This listing is for an Alesis LRC (‘Little Remote Control’) Wired Remote Control Type II unit. I am the original owner; I bought it in the late 90s. It has only been used in my home studio, which is a non-smoking environment. All photos are of the actual item that will ship to you.

Condition:

This device is in very good condition. There is one small crack in the lower left corner and a few cosmetic scratches around the device, but none that impact use in any way.

Technical Specifications:

The Alesis LRC Wired Remote Control Type II is a compact, wired hardware remote control that was designed to use with an Alesis ADAT digital multi-track recorder and hard disk recorders like the Alesis HD24. It provides basic transport controls, including Play, Stop, Record, Fast Forward, Rewind, Locate, and Track Arming/Select.

It includes memory/locate keys to quickly jump to specific time markers on the S-VHS tape. Works with classic blackface ADAT, ADAT XT, XT20, LX20 and the HD24/HD24XR series.

The ‘tape era’ ADAT LRC and the later HD24 LRC share the same internal electronics, differing primarily by front-panel graphics. It uses an attached cable with a standard 1/4” tip/sleeve (TS) jack connection that plugs directly into the Remote port on the back of compatible Alesis recording units.

It’s a lightweight, rugged plastic enclosure designed to sit on a mixing console or near the engineer while the primary tape deck is racked elsewhere.

This remote worked great in my home studio for several years, but I haven’t used it in many years and no longer have any way to test it.
