Zildjian 12” FX Stack 3 Cymbal Effects Stack

The Zildjian 12" FX Stack is a compact three-cymbal effects stack designed to produce fast, trashy, electronic-style accents that work well in modern drumming. Rather than functioning as a traditional crash or splash, it creates a short, cutting sound that's ideal for punctuating grooves and adding texture.

Key features

• Size: 12-inch stack
• Configuration: Three cymbals (two larger FX cymbals and one slightly smaller cymbal)
• Material: Zildjian I Series bronze alloy with a steel bottom element for a crisp attack

Sound

The 12" FX Stack produces:

• Bright, trashy attack
• Very quick decay
• Crisp "clap" or "staccato" effect
• Adjustable response—from loose and splashy to tight and dry by changing the mounting tension.

Best suited for

It's popular with drummers playing:

• Rock
• Metal
• Gospel
• Fusion
• Hip-hop
• Electronic music
• Pop

Many players use it as an auxiliary effects cymbal, though it can also be configured as a small auxiliary hi-hat for unique textures.

For drummers looking to add modern, punchy accents without taking up much space, the 12" FX Stack is one of Zildjian's most versatile effects cymbals. It excels at producing the tight, trashy sounds commonly heard in contemporary rock, gospel, fusion, and electronic-inspired drumming.
