A 2017 Tokai LS-135 Love Rock in Dark Tobacco Sunburst, made in Japan. This is one of Tokai’s higher-end Love Rock models built to classic late-’50s Les Paul-style specs: mahogany body with a carved maple top, one-piece mahogany set neck (long tenon) and a rosewood fingerboard. The result is a guitar with strong sustain, a punchy midrange and a warm, full low end.

Hardware and electronics are all premium spec for this range: Tune-o-Matic bridge and tailpiece, nickel hardware, and a pair of Tokai PAF-Vintage MK2 humbuckers. The neck has a comfortable, rounded ’50s-style profile – substantial without being unwieldy – and the 12" fingerboard radius and 24.75" scale will feel familiar if you’re used to vintage-inspired single cuts.

Dark Tobacco Sunburst shows off the maple top nicely, with cream binding, trapezoid inlays and vintage-style tuners completing the traditional look.

Condition:

This guitar is in very good condition. There are some light cosmetic signs of use – small marks and surface wear you’d expect from a gigged but well-looked-after instrument – but nothing major and nothing that affects playability or function (see photos where I’ve highlighted a minor indentation which is the most visible mark). The frets have plenty of life, and all electronics and hardware are working exactly as they should.

A quality guitar with lovely appearance

Reason For Sale:

I’ve managed to accumulate 5 Tokai Les Paul style guitars (these things happen lol) and I need to reduce my collection because I’ve run out of space! Some of the description above is a copied from the ad back when I bought it. Will come securely packed in an aftermarket hard case
