This is the definitive studio small diaphragm condenser mic. An unrivaled mic for acoustic sources and an easy to place mic that is never the wrong choice.
This particular model is in good cosmetic condition and is fully functional.
This mic was originally equipped with a tuchel connector from the Neumann factory. This is the KM 284 delineation. The tuchel was professionally replaced with an XLR connector. Because this mic was designed for German broadcast, it was equipped with the tuchel connector and was not equipped with a built in 10db pad like most KM84i.
This have never been an issue for me, even when closing miking grand pianos but the capsule may distort on extreme SPL.
This mic will come with a Neumann case and a Neumann WNS110 windscreen.
