Vintage Ludwig LM400 5x14 Supraphonic Snare Drum 1970s Modified

This Vintage Ludwig LM400 5x14 Supraphonic Snare Drum is a classic 1970s example of one of the most recorded and widely used snare drum designs in history. Its chrome-plated aluminum shell delivers the bright attack, dry articulation, and balanced sensitivity that have made the LM400 a studio and stage favorite for generations.

Classic Supraphonic Sound

The seamless aluminum shell produces a crisp, focused response with a controlled metallic character and plenty of projection. Its versatile 5x14 size offers excellent snare sensitivity at lower dynamics while retaining the sharp crack and presence needed for louder musical settings.

Modified Vintage Drum

This drum has been modified from its original factory configuration. It features an unoriginal butt plate and a modified strainer handle. These changes affect the drum's originality and collector value, but it remains a strong option for a player seeking the unmistakable sound and feel of a vintage Ludwig Supraphonic.
