DiMarzio has been at the forefront of aftermarket pickup design since Larry DiMarzio pioneered the concept in 1972, fundamentally changing how players could shape their guitar's voice without switching instruments. The CrunchLab was developed in close collaboration with John Petrucci of Dream Theater — engineered specifically for high-gain playing with tight, articulate low end and singing lead tones that cut cleanly through the densest mixes. F-spaced sizing ensures optimal string alignment for guitars with Floyd Rose or other wider bridge spacing configurations. If you've been chasing a pickup that handles crushing rhythm work without turning to mud while still nailing expressive, vocal lead territory, this is one of the most purpose-built tools for the job.
