1981 Inventions DRV — the pedal that became an overnight legend when the first run sold out by morning in 2018. A collaboration between Matthew Hoopes (1981 Inventions) and Jon Ashley (Bondi Effects), this RAT-inspired overdrive pairs a distortion circuit with a preamp boost circuit for everything from subtle vintage grit to heavy, complex-chord-friendly saturation. Three simple controls (DRV, CUT, VOL), a silky internal relay-based soft-touch footswitch, and 18V internal headroom running off a standard 9V supply.
Limited Edition Note: This pedal is different from the standard DRV in that it uses a New Old Stock (NOS) 1N34A germanium diodes for a unique, touch-sensitive clipping tone.
I own a regular DRV and I'd describe this one as a little more aggressive. It certainly covers that same refined RAT area as the original but has a bit more edge, if that makes sense, lol.
Why am I selling? I'm getting older and just have way too many pedals so am clearing them out.
NOTE: I won't take offers until the pedal has been sitting for a week or so.
SELLERS BLURB
Includes original box and paperwork.
As always, I've provided hi-rez pics from every angle so you know exactly what you're getting.
The brushed aluminum is easy to maintain and this pedal has never been used outside of my home studio, which is why it's pretty much in mint condition, no velcro, no marks.
