Old Blood Noise Endeavors' Setback is a realtime reverse pedal that is designed to create texture and mood. While technically it's manipulating a delay line, the Setback feels more like a temporal agitator than a delay. Use the Speed to adjust the speed of playback to create pitch shifting effects both up and down in fourths, fifths, and octaves. Working in congress with the Clock, which adjusts the sample rate from 500Hz to 48kHz, you can create deep and complex layers of texture perfect for an interlude or compositional exploration. As locked into a tempo as you want, use the Aux footswitch as a tap tempo and adjust the DIV control to select one of seven different divisions. The AUX switch can also be assigned to select presets or held to swell into a feedback path. An expression jack input allows for dynamic performance sweeping from one set of knobs to another. OBNE has been on the cutting edge of reverse effects and the Setback is an incredibly versatile addition into their stable of unique, mind-bending effects.
