Yamaha BB434M Bass Guitar; Black

A versatile 4-string electric bass combining vintage character with modern structural enhancements.

Designed as an evolution of Yamaha’s iconic BB series, the BB434 refines classic bass design for working musicians who require reliability, tonal versatility, and effortless playability. It balances traditional voice with contemporary engineering updates aimed at maximizing physical performance in both live and studio environments.

Built around a lightweight body, the instrument features a 5-ply maple and mahogany laminated neck attached via a specialized 6-bolt miter joint. The physical setup is completed by a Vintage Plus Light bridge with diagonal body-thru stringing options and lighter weight tuning machines for optimal instrument balance.

Key Features

• 6-Bolt Miter Neck Joint: Holds the neck closer and tighter to the body than conventional bolt-on joints, ensuring efficient vibration transfer for improved sustain and body resonance.

• 5-Piece Laminated Neck: Constructed from five plies of maple and mahogany for a quick response, sharp attack, and exceptional resistance to twisting or warping.

• Convertible Vintage Plus Light Bridge: Features 45-degree diagonal body-thru stringing to reduce string stress while transferring energy to the body, with the option for standard top-load attachment.

• Refined Profile & Balance: Designed with a slightly thinner neck profile and lightweight tuners to improve overall ergonomics and player comfort.

• YGD Custom V5 Pickups: Formulated with Alnico magnets and tuned to deliver a classic BB vintage foundation with enhanced upper-mid clarity for live performance mixes.

• Intuitive Control Layout: Outfitted with dual individual volume controls and a master tone knob for precise, straightforward pickup blending.
