Fender Telecaster TL-71 "Limited Edition", Made in Japan 2010-2011 - Gold Grain Burst

This is far from your average Fender Japan Telecaster.

Offered here is a TL-71 Limited Edition, a rare Japanese domestic market model believed to have been produced in limited numbers for Shimamura Music. These guitars rarely appear outside Japan, making this a fantastic opportunity to own one of Fender Japan's more elusive modern limited editions.

Finished in the stunning Gold Grain Burst, the translucent metallic gold beautifully highlights the ash grain beneath the clear coat. Combined with the factory gold hardware, it's one of the most distinctive Telecaster finishes Fender Japan ever produced.

Unlike a standard vintage reissue, this model features several premium appointments, including a Babicz Full Contact bridge, Gotoh tuners, medium jumbo frets, and a 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard, giving it a noticeably more modern playing feel while retaining classic Tele character.

The guitar is currently fitted with a DiMarzio DP173 Black Twang King bridge pickup, paired with the original Fender Japan neck pickup. It delivers everything you'd expect from a great Telecaster - snap, twang, and clarity - with a little extra punch when you dig in.

The guitar is in excellent overall condition, showing only light cosmetic wear consistent with careful use. The gold hardware has developed a touch of natural patina over time, adding to its character. Everything functions exactly as it should, and the guitar plays beautifully after a fresh professional setup.

At approximately 8.6 lbs (3.9 kg), it has the lively resonance and solid feel that ash-bodied Fender Japan Telecasters are known for.

The following work has been done: full cleaning, lemon oil fretboard treatment, fret spot leveling/polishing and string height setup (2.3 mm at the 12th fret on the low E string), pickup height adjusted for balance and clarity, and a fresh set of D'Addario XL 10/46 strings installed.
