Fender Player II Modified Active/Passive Precision Bass Rosewood Fretboard 2025 - Present - 3-Color Sunburst

Here's the story behind all this. I bought this bass a little over two years ago. This bass is truly in mint condition which means that it is exactly is the same as if you picked one up on display at a Guitar Center. The band broke up at the end of May and I've decided that now that I am 73 years old and have a fair amount of arthritis in my hands, I'm ready to leave the music business. What was not included in the purchase was the hardshell case which I already had and is in very good condition and included at my price. This is the Fender Player II MODIFIED Precision bass which doesn't mean that I modified it. This new bass was released in 2024 and I have played bass and guitar for over 50 years and never had a better bass. What is different than a regular precision bass is that it has both active and passive capabilities plus a fender Jazz bass pick up in the bridge position. This gives the player a lot of different options, tone wise. Fact is, I never really liked active pickups on basses or guitars but these rock. This bass coupled with a great bass amp like an Ampeg delivers amazing punchy and thick tone. I also restrung it with a very nice set of $60 flat wound strings and it plays super smooth. I actually got rid of my US Jazz bass to get this one and I'm so glad I did. These list retail for $1149 with a soft case and you can sometimes find them new for a little cheaper. This really is a like new bass so save yourself some money by buying it at a better price and get it with the hardshell case. Thanks for your interest!
