• Pickups: Original Custom Shop 1960 single-coils. The neck pickup is incredibly rich, woody, and creamy, while the bridge pickup offers the perfect vintage bite and chime.
• Fretboard: A beautiful, dense "chocolate brown" rosewood slab board with unique swirling patterns. It has an incredibly tight grain structure with zero distracting porosity, offering excellent sustain and a fast, comfortable playing surface.
• Originality & Condition: 100% stock with no modifications. The factory Relic job gives it an authentic, broken-in vintage vibe right out of the box.

I purchased this guitar brand new in 2007 from Guitar Center in Minneapolis. At the time of purchase, the sales staff mentioned the fingerboard was a premium "Brazilian swirl" rosewood selection. While the dense, sweeping grain structure certainly looks the part, Fender’s official documentation for this run specifies Indian Rosewood. To keep things fully transparent, I am pricing and selling this as a remarkably beautiful, selected Indian Rosewood slab board. If it turns out to be a factory-crossover Brazilian board, consider it a massive bonus! The BackstoryThis guitar has been a cherished part of my collection since day one. I fell in love with it during a family trip to the Mall of America when we took a detour to the local Guitar Center. The moment I picked it up, the resonance and bell-like tone won me over. It plays effortlessly, digs into notes beautifully, and looks like a true museum piece.Ships fully insured in its original mint-condition Custom Shop case with all pictured paperwork and accessories.
