Overview

With the AC-30 facing extinction in 1984 due to rising manufacturing costs, plummeting market, and what turned out to be the absolute rock bottom for quality in vacuum tubes, Rose Morris made a bold move by halting production of the handwired AC-30 and had the amp redesigned for a single printed circuit board in 1985.

These amps, manufactured by Audio Factors in the UK, are easily identified by the red and green rocker switches for power and standby on the control panel, which reads "THE ORIGINAL AC30 TOP BOOST". These amps were also available with reverb on the AC30TBR model from the same era.
