Overview
In 1998, Neumann released a commemorative 70th Anniversary model of their flagship transistor microphone, the U 87 Ai in 24 karat gold with gold shockmount and premium flight case. The 70th Anniversary model is electronically identical to the standard U 87 Ai, but only 300 of these limited edition microphones were built and sold.
