The early '90s USA Custom RG line featured Japanese-made bodies and necks, assembled and finished in the USA. All bodies were originally routed for a single humbucker, but pickup configuration, inlays, and fretboard material were all fully customizable. USA Custom RGs were available with airbrushed designs on the UCGR Graphic Design series, but also with exotic woods on the UCEW Exotic Wood series, and with fabric animal prints on the UCMD Metal Design series.
