Gibson ES-125T 1956 - 1969

Featured Listing

1963 Gibson ES-125T

About this listing

This particular Gibson was owned by Dutch luthier Frans Elferinck himself, who treated the instrument with a refret. After my purchase, my luthier swapped the original, functional Gibson P90 (6,3K) for a higher output Lollar 50's wind P90, which suits my playing style and genre. Besides the original pickup and guard, included is a clean TKL hard case that fits the guitar like a glove. I do not sell the guitar separately from it's hardware. Feel free to drop by for a visit in Antwerp, Belgium! Or optionally shipped to your front door. Mind that i ship only secured and heavily packed. Depending on where you live, it might cost you some extra . Leave me a a message and we'll work something out!

Overview

Based on the original ES-125, the Gibson ES-125T electric guitar provided an entryway for guitarists to dive into the world of archtop guitars. The ES-125T was a thinline archtop that sported only one pickup: Gibson's famous P-90. Though this is just one of many iterations of the ES-125 model, the thinline Gibson ES-125T played an important role in the evolution of the guitar.
