About this listing
[Included Accessories]Hard caseTremolo arm[Features]We have received the "JM-JM," a Fender Japan signature model for J Mascis, the guitarist of Dinosaur Jr.Beyond its striking appearance, this guitar boasts unique specifications tailored to Mascis's own playing style—distinct from standard Jazzmaster models. The matte-finish neck offers a smooth, satin feel that facilitates easy position shifts and rapid phrasing, while the jumbo frets provide a solid, powerful feel when fretting. It features a Tune-O-Matic style bridge, offering greater playing stability compared to a standard Jazzmaster. The custom pickups deliver a thick, powerful rock sound while retaining the crisp, articulate quality characteristic of a Jazzmaster. It offers excellent chord definition and delicate nuance in clean tones, yet pairs perfectly with alternative rock and grunge styles when driven with distortion. This model is highly recommended not only for J Mascis fans but also for anyone seeking a unique Jazzmaster—or a guitar that combines a commanding visual presence with practical, high-performance playability. It is a model that embodies the distinct appeal of Fender Japan craftsmanship and is becoming increasingly rare on the used market.
