Made in Japan, "black screw," "black label" Boss CS-1. These are fantastic opto-compressors, extremely popular for steel guitar and with folks (like me) who understand how to use them. These have a very specific sound, which is exactly why people like me love them (I've owned several over the years, and still do, just thinning the herd here), but it's true some folks are like wttffffff?! I personally find the release of these pedals so, so—human? Feels really "ghost in the machine" to me, I love themGreat for soloing, great for chicken-pickin'. Super cool on low settings AFTER a looper—makes your playing and the loop below it "breathe" in and out of each other (this is the specific way I use and love CS-1's).The pedal for sale here has already been converted to standard 9v PSA by the fine folks at Alchemy Audio.Priced to move—don't miss out!!!
