USA Made LA Custom Shop (LACS) Ibanez SMT1 Iceman (ex-Dragonforce)

Up for sale here is my rather special LA Custom Shop (LACS) Ibanez STM1 Iceman.

For those of you that know, LACS Ibanez are somewhat mythical creatures as the USA Los Angeles Custom Shop do not build for the general public, they build exclusively for artists.

This Iceman was made by the LA Custom Shop for Sam Totman from Dragonforce to support their 2008 tour. The guitar has been stage played many times, probably around 200-400 gigs, it also features in the Heroes Of Our Time music video.

The guitar was originally fitted with Dimarzio Evolution pickups, but the prior owner to me fitted it with Seymour Duncan Jeff Loomis Blackouts. These are utterly brilliant pickups, the clarity under distortion is fantastic.

The guitar obviously has a few scars from life on the road, but it plays superbly as you'd expect from a guitar used prolifically by one of the fastest players out there.

The price is quite firm, LACS Ibanez rarely sell for anything less than £4000, in some case much MUCH more. This guitar is a true LACS with a fantastic history to it, it is a one of one and was essentially the prototype for the standard STM1 Iceman that was available to buy.
