#1 Calrec CB21C Condenser Microphone Serial #931 [One from the Matched Pair]

Ok, here is another great matched pair of the high-quality condenser mics, as usual can be sold separately and here is the listing from one mic from the matched pair: vintage CALREC CB21C condenser mic with CALREC CC51 capsule. Here is the mic with serial #931 body and serial #796 on capsule. 

CALREC is a well known company, which is in music business for about 50 years. Mostly well known for its high quality mixing consoles and broadcast desks, but not everyone knows that this company started their activity as a microphones manufacturer in 1964 and only in 1971 they presented their first audio console. CALREC`s reputation for build quality, reliability and audio performance has made them an industry benchmark across the world.

CALREC CB21C is a 2100 series studio transistor capacitor mic, which consists of the type CB21 amp, and a selection of five different capsules: CC01 omni-directional with an inbuilt windshield; CC03 extended response omni-directional; CC50 extended response cardioid; CC51 cardioid with reduced bass and CC56 cardioid with a fixed mesh windshield. Exactly this one comes with CC51 capsule with bass roll-off and windshield. The amp consists of a 48V phantom-powered FET amp (but also mic operates with any voltage from 7,5 to 50V) with the matt black body equipped with a satin chrome XLR plug at one end. At the other end the mic capsule secures to the body with a coarse thread which should be quite difficult to damage.

Also shows very similar results and response on overheads, used mostly on drums overheads and for recording acoustic guitars of course, smoke-free studio. Excellent British sound quality, very rare and hard to find mics nowadays. Please take a look at the listing with the matched pair of that mics.
