Does that mean that it is a high gain overdrive? No, it's a low/medium gain overdrive that respects your guitar/amp tone.
With the Contour and Cut potentiometers you will be able to define your overdrive sound.
Contour: Adjust your tone by boosting your treble.
Cut: Controls the mid and low frequencies.
With both knobs you can get the equalization you need.
Tame: Set to the right for an open uncompressed sound, to the left for a sound with more gain and compression without being nasal.
