AUDION PS 3010 Stereo Compressor — Serviced, 1980s USSR

For sale is a rare AUDION PS 3010 dual-channel analog compressor, manufactured by Audio-Tehnika in Leningrad, USSR.

This particular unit carries the low serial number 0027 and has been professionally serviced.

The PS 3010 is a distinctive Soviet studio processor capable of operating as either two independent mono compressors or a linked stereo compressor.

Its sound is dense, weighty and characterful rather than completely transparent. It can add body and dynamic control at moderate settings, while stronger compression produces a more aggressive and noticeably colored result.

The PS 3010 is particularly well suited to drums, bass, synthesizers, guitars and stereo buses where a strong vintage analog character is desired.

Each channel also has a dedicated detector input, allowing the compressor to be controlled by an external sidechain signal.

Service and condition

The compressor has been professionally serviced, internally cleaned and tested.

Both channels and all main functions are working correctly.
