For sale: Epiphone SG Made in Czech Republic (Bohemia Musice Delicia factory - late 1990s / early 2000s)
I'm far from an expert on these, so please do your own research. Some rave about them on message boards, and while I don't completely buy the hype, I'll agree that the build quality is pretty good. They're generally considered to be a cut above many other Epiphone models.
What's for sure is that the Czech-made Epiphones are rare, the SGs even more so, and this one would be super collectible if only it was in better condition! However, it's had a few knocks (see photos) and unfortunately the truss rod is pretty much maxed-out. (The relief right now is right where I would want it, but you should know that if you ever need to take relief out of the neck in the future, you might not be able to.)
The pickups sound great, really full and bright on slide, especially, and a lot of fun to play. The hardware is good quality for an Epiphone.
Some aesthetic damage that you need to know about:
• Dings to the very top of the headstock
• Edge dings and dents
• Finish cracking around the neck join
• Big ding through to the wood on lower bout, bass side (on the back of the guitar, you can't see it from the front)
Having said all that, it still looks great on the wall or on stage and you'll have a great time playing it!
If you're interested, snap her up!
[Offers suspended due to time wasters and non-paying buyers. If you have any questions, please message BEFORE buying! It's pretty sad that we should have to say that, but it seems that's the state of Reverb nowadays. ¯\_(ăƒ„)_/¯ ]
