About this guitar:
Weight: 8 pounds
This guitar came directly from Gretsch to my supplier, it has never been sold retail, the protective covers are still on the truss rod cover and pickguard.  It was examined by factory authorized technicians, there were no issues found, all electronics work as designed.  When we polished the guitar we did not find any blemishes or issues with the finish, it is in new condition.
Per agreement with Gretsch because this guitar was not distributed through their dealer network there is a tiny used stamp on the back of the headstock, and the last two digits of the stamped serial number have been removed and a sticker with the serial number is placed over the stamped number.

Description:

The Gretsch Tennessean Hollow Body delivers classic Gretsch tone and playability in an elegant yet understated package. Designed for discerning players seeking a versatile hollowbody, the Tennessean gives you a resonant 16" maple body, comfortable U-shaped neck and a pair of Filter'Tron pickups for articulation and depth. The Tennessean's trio of controls provides an array of vintage-inspired sounds to suit any genre.

Full, Warm Tone from Premium Woods

The Tennessean's deep hollow maple body produces a rich, balanced tone with pronounced lows, clear mids and shimmering highs. Its set maple neck has a comfortable medium C profile that plays fast and feels familiar. Together, the body and neck deliver the trademark Gretsch sound in a lightweight, ergonomic form.

Filter'Tron Pickups for Classic Gretsch Voice

At the heart of the Tennessean's tone are a pair of Filter'Tron humbucking pickups. The Filter'Trons provide the distinctive Gretsch sound with a blend of warmth, clarity and chime. Flip between the neck and bridge pickups or combine them for a range of tones from smooth jazz to all-out rock.

Vintage-Style Controls Shape Your Sound

The Tennessean gives you master volume and tone controls, as well as individual volume knobs for the neck and bridge pickups—just like classic Gretsch hollowbodies from the 1950s and '60s. Roll back the neck pickup volume and crank the bridge for a biting twang or do the opposite for a mellow jazz voice. The no-load tone circuit delivers natural-sounding roll-off as you turn down the highs.

Rock-Solid Hardware and Appointments

The Tennessean features a rock-solid Adjusto-Matic bridge and Bigsby B6GP vibrato tailpiece for tuning stability and string-bending expression. Sealed die-cast tuners, strap locks and a Graph Tech Tusq nut provide additional reliability. Neo-Classic inlays, a silver pickguard and nickel hardware complete the vintage-inspired aesthetic. For a professional hollowbody with timeless Gretsch vibe, you can't beat the Tennessean.

• FAQ, frequently asked questions
Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher?  The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.

Who refurbishes your instruments?  All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized technician.

Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty?  No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty.

Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it?  All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box.  However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and  getting bumped around during shipping.  Also some players like to set up a new guitar to their own personal preferences.
