Follows description from Equipboard:

The Ibanez AD9 Analog Delay Reissue is a faithful recreation of the iconic 1980s effect pedal, widely regarded as the delay counterpart to the legendary TS9 Tube Screamer. Originally produced in the mid-2000s to counter skyrocketing vintage market prices, this pedal utilizes 100% analog circuitry to deliver the warm, organic, and beautifully degraded echo effects that digital processors cannot perfectly replicate.

Key Specifications & Architecture

  • Circuitry: Uses classic Bucket Brigade Devices (BBD) paired with a clock driver chip to route the audio signal.
  • Delay Time: Ranges from 20ms to 300ms, ideal for everything from tight room ambiance to classic vintage slapback.
  • Power Supply: Standard 9V DC input or a single 9V battery, modernizing the high-voltage requirements of older ancestors.
  • Form Factor: Features the distinctive bright pink, heavy-duty metal chassis characteristic of the original 9-series lineup.

Control Interface

The pedal provides a straightforward, user-friendly interface via three simple knobs:

  • Delay Time: Controls the interval between the original signal and the echoes.
  • Repeat Rate (Feedback): Adjusts the number of echo repetitions. Maximizing this knob pushes the pedal into infinite self-oscillation, creating dramatic, experimental "UFO" soundscapes.
  • Delay Level: Blends the volume of the wet (delayed) signal with your dry guitar tone.

Input & Output Routing

The AD9 reissue includes dual outputs for enhanced signal flexibility: [1, 2, 3]

  • Output (Mono): Carries the blended wet/dry signal.
  • Dry Out: Sends a completely unaffected, raw guitar signal.
  • Note: Plugging cables into both jacks separates the signals completely, allowing you to route a 100% wet echo to one amplifier and a clean dry signal to another for an expansive stereo effect setup.
