The Taylor Next Generation Builder’s Edition 814ce Blacktop brings together timeless acoustic character and modern Taylor refinement in an instrument designed to inspire both the player and the listener. Its Adirondack Spruce top is paired with Indian Rosewood back and sides, creating a rich and articulate tonal foundation with the headroom, clarity, and dynamic range to respond beautifully from a gentle touch to a powerful strum. The two-piece rosewood back features no wedge, while Rock Maple body binding frames the instrument with a clean, elegant visual accent. At the heart of the 814ce is Taylor’s V-Class bracing system, engineered to bring exceptional musicality, sustain, and intonation to the acoustic voice. The beveled cutaway provides comfortable access to the upper frets while preserving the instrument’s graceful silhouette. A Neo-Tropical Mahogany neck offers a strong, resonant foundation, finished in satin for a smooth and natural playing feel.
