You are looking at a classic 2000 era model Shure Brothers 55SH dynamic cardioid microphone set at low impedance with a smooth warm tone making this one of the best dynamic cardioid mics of it's time and has a timeless design. The mic comes with the nice Neutrik XLR cable shown in which to operate. Pic # 2 shows the older original 55SH from the 1970's before the mic was discontinued. It was reintroduced around 2000 and came with the newer cardioid dynamic element that you see in the Super 55 model mic. It should be noted that there are several scammers here on Ebay selling counterfeit 55SH model mics brand new with all the accessories for under $100.00 but do know that they are cheap knock offs from China with non Shure elements inside. Even the chrome bodies are polished chrome instead of satin chrome. Shure never sold the 55SH with a polished chrome finish. If you buy one of those examples from any of these sellers you will get a cheaply made inferior sounding product. I am seeing these pop up constantly on Ebay and Ebay can't get rid of these sellers. I bought one of them a while back just to leave negative feedback to warn other buyers but of course Ebay erased my feedback. Glorious of Ebay to do right? If you are buying a "brand new" Shure microphone on Ebay I can promise you that there is a 99% chance that the mic is counterfeit. If you are looking for a brand new Shure microphone you need to go to a reputable dealer. Ebay is NOT the place to buy a cheap new Shure mic because it won't be an actual Shure mic. Anyways, this newer example is not a counterfeit and is really nice. I would rate it as mint condition. This particular model came with the satin chrome finish, dark grey foam screens, rectangular silver Shure badge and practical on / off switch. When Shure finally started selling the "Super 55" again in the early 2000's it had a completely different element from the original Shure 55S model with slightly stronger output but the overall design was the same as the 55SH. The 55SH simply kept the classic chrome with black foam screens that many prefer over the royal blue screens that come with the Super 55. When Shure Brothers sold the 55SH it was slightly improved from the previous 55S & 55SW model which still incorporated the old 3 pin screw on type cable which had outlived it's use and wasn't very practical. The newer 55SH finally had the modern XLR attachment. The 55SH did away with the impedance switch as well. This legendary 55 series microphone was used by many famous artists and politicians over the years including Elvis Presley and even the young revolutionary Fidel Castro. Those clean lines and deco styling make this mic stand out from all the others produced over the last century. Again, this is the newer version of that early design. It should be noted that this mic has an excellent working dynamic cardioid element with strong output and works perfectly. This one was very well taken care of. Perfect for singing and broadcasting with a100% signal. This mic will not disappoint and you wont find a nicer example. The uni-directional characteristics on these mics are outstanding drowning out most background noise. As seen in the pictures provided the the satin chrome shows no cosmetic wear. The finish has a very nice luster too. There are zero bent or fractured ribs on this mic. The Shure label looks very nice as well. Overall this mic is a very conservative 9 +++ on a scale of 1 - 10. This mic is solid...no loose parts inside or out. The inner element is well secured. This one is good to go. Nice and snug. The threads for the stand are excellent and the joint mechanism holds strong. This 55SH will screw onto any desk or floor stand you wish to use. The mic takes a standard XLR cable which is provided. The cable is appx 26 feet long giving you quite a bit of room to work with. It's soft pliable and free of wear. The cable has the standard male Neutrik brand XLR end connector as well. The XLR pins on this mic were cleaned ensuring a perfect signal once the cable is attached. This mic is ready to go for any situation and will make a very nice gift for yourself or anybody you know.
