About this listing
Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder FR-S in Green Reign
The Sun Valley Super Shredder FR-S delivers a thin, fast neck profile paired with a responsive bolt-on mahogany body and Floyd Rose Special locking tremolo, engineered for aggressive playing and sustained lead work. This Indonesian-made shredder combines a 24 extra-jumbo fretboard with dual-mode electronics—an EMG Retro Active Hot 70 bridge pickup and a Sustainiac neck pickup—to cover both punchy rhythm tones and harmonic-rich lead textures. The Green Reign finish and black hardware complete a modern aesthetic built for players who demand precision and tonal range.
Playability & Neck Profile
The thin "C" profile neck measures .787" at the 1st fret and .866" at the 12th fret, enabling rapid position shifts without hand fatigue. With a 25.5" scale, 14" fretboard radius, and 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets, the board accommodates both bending and palm-muting techniques. The Floyd Rose Special "Hot Rod" locking tremolo maintains tuning stability during aggressive use, while the 2-way adjustable truss rod with heel-access spoke wheel allows easy setup adjustments.
Tone & Electronics
The dual-pickup setup provides versatile voicing: the EMG Retro Active Hot 70 delivers articulate, controlled bridge tones, while the Sustainiac neck pickup excels at harmonic sustain and atmospheric textures. Independent controls include a master volume, tone control, 3-way pickup switch, 2-way on/off Sustainiac switch, and 3-way Sustainiac mode selector (Fundamental, Mix, Harmonic), powered by a double 9-volt battery compartment. This architecture accommodates everything from clean picking to high-gain lead passages.
