Designed by Paul Miles, Director of Manufacturing and Head of Private Stock, the ‘Birds of a Feather’ inlay will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2026 and reinterprets the iconic PRS bird inlays as a dynamic swarm motif. Only 360 guitars will be produced worldwide, giving this special edition a unique status within the PRS line-up, both in terms of playability and aesthetics. With high-quality tonewoods, build quality of the highest standard and an unrivalled sound thanks to two PRS DMO humbuckers, this limited-edition model is a real standout – not just visually, but sonically too!High-quality tonewoodsIn terms of construction, the model remains closely based on the tried-and-tested Custom 24. A mahogany body features an artist-grade top made from heavily figured maple with a classic violin carve, whilst the one-piece mahogany neck, with its slim Pattern-Thin profile, ensures that familiar, fast playing feel. The fingerboard is made of ebony and figured maple, features a 10" radius, 24 frets and, of course, the eponymous ‘Birds of a Feather’ inlay. The traditional 25"-scale length and the high-gloss nitro finish emphasise the characteristic style of the Custom 24. PRS DMO HumbuckerTwo PRS DMO pickups are used for electrical signal conversion; according to the manufacturer, these are tuned to deliver an open, dynamic and balanced response with pronounced vocal quality. Volume and tone controls, along with a 5-way blade switch, provide access to both classic humbucker and single-coil-inspired tones. A PRS Gen III tremolo and Phase III locking tuners with wing buttons ensure reliable tuning and resonance, whilst nickel hardware and the included black paisley hard-shell case round off the high-quality specification.
