This 1954 Gibson Southern Jumbo in Sunburst is the kind of guitar that immediately feels at home in your hands. It has a warm, woody voice with plenty of depth, punch, and character, and it really comes alive when you dig into it. The guitar has been well played over the years and shows dings, scratches, and chipped finish, giving it an honest, naturally worn look. Previous work includes a refret, new nut and saddle, bridge reglue, bridge plate plugs, and a repair to the bass-side X-brace. It is structurally stable and sounds and plays wonderfully, with a comfortable, broken-in feel and a voice that makes you want to keep playing.
