Shure 710S Crystal Microphone 99A129 original element 1950s Red Paint
Although many were made for OEM labels, this super heavy microphone by Shure Brothers is labeled with the Shure label. It has fantastic old-time tone and is LOUD LOUD LOUD. The paint has a couple light nicks. The vintage 1/4 inch (phono headphone phone) TS plug is attached to the mic with a beautiful original cloth-wrapped cable.
The 710S is different from the 710A because it has a silencing switch which actually mutes the mic by shorting the input when it is not pressed. The switch can be pressed instantaneously or locked into ON position. The two screws on the side hold the switch mechanism.
