Here is a WSW tube pair of preamps for sale. A rarity and one of a few holy grails in the world of preamps.
Produced by Siemens & Halske in the 1950s-60s.
Type 8011 350. Runs on E80F and E80L tubes.
Preamp is all original, there was no need to repair or change any parts. Gain 0-40dB, eight step switch plus potentiometer for fine tuning. Though its primal function was ampifying line signals, I've put in the microphone preamplifier cathegory, for obvious reasons. Sounds great on everything, from vocals to bass drum to violin.
Works fine as a mastering warming tool too a lot of warm tube character without unwanted artifacts.
Hard to find.
