This is the rack mount version of the AML (Audio Maintenance Limited) ez1073 Mic Pre/Line + EQ kit.
This kit that was assembled from :
- AML PCB Kit
- Case from Collective Cases
- All metal knobs from CAPI
- Mogami wire for all XLR connections
Tested, calibrated and sounding fantastic. This is one of the best recreations of the classic Neve 1073 Channel Strip found in their 80 series consoles from the 1970's. Comparable units from BAE sell for more than twice as much.
Features:
- Mic Pre +70db Gain stepped in 5db increments.
- Line Amp +/- 20db Gain
- +48v Phantom Power
- Switchable Impedance of 1200 or 300Ω
- Phase Reversal Switch
- EQ Bypass Switch
- EQ Frequencies
HF Shelf (±16dB gain): 12kHz
Mid-range Bell EQ (±18dB): 360Hz, 700Hz, 1.6kHz, 3.2kHz, 4.8kHz or 7.2kHz
LF Shelf (±16dB): 35, 60, 110 or 220Hz
High-pass Filter (18dB/oct slope): 50, 80, 160 and 300Hz.
- 10db Output Trim Knob
A couple of notes about this unit. The two concentric knobs are just for the classic look, but do not perform separate functions. The concentric knobs also have a few small blemishes, but otherwise the unit is like new with only a couple hours of use. Includes power cable. Final cost of the build was a little over $1,400.00 CAD.
