Taking cues from the very best parts of the Teenage Engineering OP-Z and the OP-1 Field, the OP-XY blends them together into a beautiful and truly exciting new groovebox that can be both the ultimate portable music-making device AND the central sequencing hub of any set-up!
Manufacturer's description
Teenage Engineering's OP–XY is a revolutionary, dynamic performance sequencer, synthesiser and sampler, inspired by the iconic, off-road subcultures of dance music all over the world.
die deutsche beatapparat
OP–XY creates music just how you intend it—raw, hard, and deliberate. the core workflow is built around step sequencing; a dynamic tension between precision, and creative swing. stack compositions like building blocks, then twist it all by adding complexity with punch-in fx. a new brain™ chord progression lets you turn on your brain™, and let your hands do the talking.
no strings attached
skip the entanglements and zero in on full cruise control connectivity. OP–XY promises an experience where the whole studio’s in steady dialogue once tied up. we’ve even added a powerful, multi-out port that lets you switch between four different outputs; shock your eurorack into submission, keep those mean drums real tight, sequence synths, and bend any pedal to your command.
command the stage
give your live performances and productions a whole new meaning a new multi-sampler lets you pull samples from several ‘zones’ simultaneously, finely tuned synth engines with far more stärke than ever, geometric visuals to keep your track straight—till you twist it—and a library of punch-in fx for immediate performance. add to that a ‘gyroscope’ that lets you bring tracks in and out just by moving your device.
