Neumann U 87 Ai Stereo Set
This Neumann U87 Ai Stereo Set includes two U87 condenser microphones that have been matched in sensitivity and frequency response for accurate, stereo recordings of instruments, vocals, ambiance, etc. The unique sonic characteristics and quality of the U87 are doubled in this kit. Also included are a pair of EA87 shock mounts, two dust covers and a rugged, road-worthy storage case.
The Neumann U87 Ai is a large dual-diaphragm, multi-pattern condenser microphone in a nickel finish. It comes in a wooden box with a stand mount. The U 87 is equipped with a large dual-diaphragm capsule with three directional patterns: omnidirectional, cardioid and figure-8. These are selectable with a switch below the headgrille. A 10 dB attenuation switch is located on the rear. It enables the microphone to handle sound pressure levels up to 127 dB without distortion. Furthermore, the low frequency response can be reduced to compensate for proximity effect.
The Neumann U87 presents a wide range of features and versatility that make it to one of the most desirable mics available.
