About this listing
Description The Ibanez RG653DX electric guitar is built around the fast, focused feel that has defined the RG for decades, combining Japanese Prestige craftsmanship with a bright, responsive voice. Its ash body is finished in gloss polyester, delivering strong attack and rich sustain without feeling heavy or stiff. A bolt-on Super Wizard HP neck made from maple and walnut keeps the profile slim and quick, while the bound rosewood fretboard carries 24 jumbo frets that feel smooth and forgiving under fast hands. DiMarzio Air Norton and The Tone Zone humbuckers handle electronics through a simple 1-volume, 1-tone control layout and a 5-way selector, giving the RG653DX the range and punch needed for modern rock and metal on stage or in the studio. The Super Wizard HP neck is designed to stay out of your way, with a thin profile that makes fast runs, wide stretches, and technical passages feel natural. Its 5-piece maple and walnut construction adds stability, while the satin polyurethane finish keeps movement smooth and consistent across the neck. Whether you’re playing tight rhythm parts or pushing into lead territory, the feel stays controlled and predictable. A DiMarzio Air Norton in the neck position delivers warm, articulate tones with strong clarity, while The Tone Zone in the bridge adds power, low-end punch, and sustain. Together, they offer a broad dynamic range that works equally well for clean passages, saturated leads, and aggressive rhythm work. The 5-way selector makes it easy to move between voices without slowing you down. The RG Prestige line is made for players who expect precision and reliability every time they plug in. Supplied with an Ibanez hardshell case, the RG653DX is well suited for metal, hard rock, and technical styles where speed, clarity, and control matter most. It’s a no-nonsense RG that delivers exactly what demanding players look for, night after night.
