About this listing
Up for sale, a 1995 Ibanez PS10-2 Paul Stanley signature model in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with its original hardshell case and hangtags. Introduced in 1978, the original PS10 was Ibanez’s first signature model for the KISS frontman, crafted in Japan at the Fujigen factory and featuring a gloss Black finish on the Iceman body, accented by mirrored “chrome” plastics and abalone binding/inlays. The PS10II keeps the original’s set-neck mahogany and maple construction, swapping its Ibanez V2 humbuckers, Gibraltar bridge and Quik Change tailpiece for a pair of Ibanez “Axis” AH1/AH2 humbuckers and a Tune-o-Matic-style bridge with corresponding stopbar. The pair of Ibanez Axis humbuckers are big and bold, with a midrange bump that translates to huge chords and a liquid, singing quality when soloing. The AH2 in the bridge handles gain particularly well, maintaining its clarity and color in all positions. Weighing 8lbs 7oz, this Paul Stanley PS10-2 has been professionally set up here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.Neck Specs:Neck: MapleShape: “IC” (medium C), measuring .850” at 1st fret, .980” at 12th fretFretboard: Bound rosewood, 12” radius, pearl/abalone split block inlayFrets: Medium jumbo, no wearScale Length: 24 3/4”Nut width: 1 11/16”, boneTuners: Gotoh, pearloid buttonsHeadstock: Paul Stanley signature printed on mirrored truss rod coverSerialization: F-prefix, “Made in Japan”Body Specs:Body: Mahogany, maplePickups: Ibanez AH1 (N), AH2 (B)Controls: Volume x2, Tone, three-way pickup selectorHardware: Tune-o-Matic bridge, stopbarPlastics: Mirrored pickguard, black speed knobs, cream switch tipThe gloss Black finish is framed on top by immaculatemulti-ply binding with abalone purfling.
