About this listing
Vintage 1960s Gibson Scout GA-17RVT tube amplifier in very good functional condition with an incredible warm, swampy vintage tone. This amp has just been professionally serviced and is ready to play. Work performed includes: New capacitors New 3-prong grounded power cord New reverb transformer New speaker cable New reverb cable Pots and jacks cleaned Everything is functioning properly including the built-in tremolo and reverb.Original Gibson-branded speaker still installed. Includes original dual footswitch for tremolo and reverb control.Cosmetically, this amp shows honest vintage wear throughout. The control panel has noticeable oxidation/rust patina and the cabinet has edge wear and scuffs consistent with age, but overall presents really well for a nearly 60-year-old amp. These old Gibson combos have become increasingly sought after for their unique circuit designs and gritty, character-rich breakup that sits somewhere between classic Fender and Valco territory.A fantastic studio, recording, or small venue amp with tons of vintage vibe.Includes: Original footswitch
