About this listing
Vintage Silverface Fender Vibro Champ Guitar Tube Amp. Passed down through the original owner’s family from father to son. Purchaser will be only the third owner of this beautifully well cared for amplifier. The original owner’s son says his father bought the amp in 1968. That year is most no for having a “drip edge.” This amp doesn’t have that. However, its transformers date to 1966 and 1967. See photos for yourself. According to my Google search, there were some very early Silverface amps that lacked the drip edge during the production transition from blackface to silverface. The transformer dates would support this. I’m not an expert and I wasn’t around in 1968. So, I’ve included photos of the circuit board so those who are knowledgeable can make an informed decision. Either way, this is priced to sell for its condition and well cared for History. Free shipping.
