DiMarzio D Activator PickupsTwo DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers in the bridge and neck positions deliver crisp, singing tones with pronounced mids and high output, which, as with active pickups, really cuts through. In keeping with the rest of the design, these dual-coil pickups feature red plastic caps and impress with their clear string articulation. For rapid stutter effects, an arcade-style kill switch is located beneath the bridge on the mirrored pickguard and control panel.Features and ConstructionThe string-through Tele bridge features an enlarged cut-out to accommodate the bridge humbucker and ensures stable intonation thanks to six steel string saddles. Furthermore, the strings on the John 5 Ghost Tele run over a sturdy maple neck and a Micarta nut.
