Another beauty from the collection...

We are massive violin bass fans and these 1970s Grecos are right up there with the very best.

Grecos from this period are rightly celebrated for their extremely high level of craftsmanship. (Check out our other listings)

Condition-wise...

Hard to believe this is a half-centurion.

The body and neck are in super condition for a 1976 violin bass.

The only cosmetic flaw worth noting is the discolouration and splits to one area of side binding plus a minor scrape to the head. (See photos)

Aside from this and the absent 'V' & 'T' chrome knob tops, it's complete and all original.

No repairs, no modifications.

The wood figuring on the spruce back is particularly attractive on this one.

It's extremely well balanced and offers a super-versatile tone palette from these vintage Greco mini humbucker pickups. All the Beatle-ing noises you could wish for plus a lot more besides.

Electrics are perfect, action and intonation are very good. Frets have minimal wear and loads of life.

Overall...

This one plays and feels great. In fact it sounds even better than it looks.

Comes with a vintage hard case (possibly original).

Of course there is nothing we can do about customs duty, local taxes etc at your end. But we can keep the overall price as competitive as is decently possible.

The Japan post office service (EMS) is reliable and efficient but shipping costs from Japan to Europe or the states are unavoidably expensive.

For this reason none of the shipping costs we quote reflect the actual price we have to pay. We are more than willing to take a hit on that to make things as attractive for you as possible.
