This is a used amplifier in good condition with some minor signs of wear.
1968 was a decisive year for Fender amplifiers – they still produced the typical Fender sound, but were given a completely new look. With a silver and turquoise front panel and the classic “drip edge” aluminum front cover, the Twin Reverb has a new look, but remains the compact backline amp for professionals and amateurs around the world. Crystal clear, deep, and powerful, the amplifier produces an assertive tube sound and features Fender's world-class reverb and vibrato effects. Since then, countless guitarists have chosen the Twin Reverb as their favorite for its signature Fender sound.
The '68 Custom Twin Reverb amp pays tribute to the classic look, sound, and performance of the Fender silver panel amplifiers from the late 1960s. What makes it special is that reverb and tremolo work on both channels, and the “Custom” channel features a modified Bassman® tone stack that offers modern guitarists more tonal flexibility with the footswitch. In addition, the amp allows for faster gain response and reduced negative feedback for better response. The two 12" Celestion® G12V-70 speakers of the ‘68 Custom Twin Reverb also provide that characteristic rock 'n’ roll feel.
