1960 Martin 112T Combo Amp, Know as the Beefy 5E3's, So Hard to Find !

Serial Number: ML3 1536, Made by DeArmond/Rowe Industries

CONDITION: The Overall Condition is Very Good to Excellent it has been well maintained and we have gone over it stem to stern. It does have the Patina of a Vintage Amp but nothing of too much consequence, Tolex wear and some pitting on the faceplate. The Handle has been changed to a new leather one. We have gone over it stem to stern and checked everything carefully. Includes the Original Footswitch and the Tremolo is just dreamy as expected. Transformers are Original theJensen P12R and the Original Footswitch, these are extremely scarce, this one plays and sounds amazing it is a great one.

HISTORY:

The Martin 112T is an extremely rare vintage tube guitar amplifier, manufactured by DeArmond/Rowe Industries for Martin in the early 1960s. These amps are considered by many people to be one of the best sounding amps ever built. Very similar to the classic Fender Deluxe amps that are highly sought after, these have the added benefit of larger transformers giving the amp a bit more headroom or punch. It's high-quality construction and a tone often described as a "beefed-up" Fender 5E3 Tweed Deluxe.

Overview

  • Manufacturer: Rowe Industries in Toledo, Ohio, under the DeArmond brand for C.F. Martin & Co..
  • Circuitry: Similar to the Fender 5E3 Tweed Deluxe, but with larger transformers that give it a "tighter, less boomy, with a big, bold voice".
  • Model Designation: The "T" in 112T indicates that it features a tremolo effect.
  • Sister Amp: It is the "sister" amp to the DeArmond R15T, which is essentially the same amplifier sold under the DeArmond brand.
  • Construction: Built with high-quality components for the era, including a cabinet made of solid pine or birch.

Technical Specifications
